INTRODUCTION

Presently, the widespread of virus influenza A H1N1 is tremendous, affecting all countries of the world. Before this epidemic, many more deadly and cronic diseases had been invading human beings, destroying millions of lives, especially in the Third World countries where the basic health facilities are lacking. WHAT IS "URUT JURUS STRUM?"

The words "URUT JURUS STRUM" are derived from a combination of classical Malay ("urut jurus", meaning massage the target) and ancient Javanese ("strum", meaning rejuvenate). It could not be translated into other languages, just like the word "yoga" in its original Sanskrit.

"URUT JURUS STRUM" was founded and formulated by Dr Ilyas Harun in the year 2000 after 10 years of extensive research throughout the Malay Archipelago (Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei and the Philippines). In 2001, Dr Ilyas Harun formed the Association of Urut Jurus Strum Malaysia with office bearers. Due to politicking activities of some office bearers, Dr Ilyas disbanded the Association and he went solo. He started a small Urut Jurus Strum Academy in 2008 in Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia. He had trained many trainers who are qualified to undertake the treatment of Urut Jurus Strum. Due to the financial contraints, he closed the Academy.

The basic concepts of Urut Jurus Strum are consisted of the following characteristics:

1. Systematic massage
2. Closure of massage
3. Relaxation of muscles, limbs and bones
4. "Sport" or the movements of related limbs
5. Fundamental procedures on anatomy
6. The use of traditional massage oil
7. The methods to rejuvenate life

These basic concepts are exclusively reserved for the normalisation of free blood flow in the body via arteries and veins. By way of Urut Jurus Strum, these basic concepts are applied on the whole body, from head to toes.
